Poke some holes in the remaining wax with a skewer (this is so the hot water can get in between the holes to help assist the removal) then fill your jar with boiling hot water and leave it until the remaining wax rises to the surface and hardens. Once it's hard you can scrape out the excess with a plastic knife and clean the inside of your jar with warm soapy water using a non abrasive cloth.
